Why we must use UPS for medical devices?

I will start this blog with two important questions and from the answer to them, I will get to the aim of this blog.
First question:
What is the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)?
-
- A battery-powered device that senses when the incoming AC voltage drops to an unacceptable level and temporarily provides power until it is restored.
- UPSs generally also provide power conditioning to protect against other electrical problems such as spikes and noise.
- UPSs can also provide automatic voltage regulation during electricity off and will only go into battery backup mode in the event of a power-off.
Second question:
What happens to medical devices, patients, and hospitals or clinic centers when electricity off?
-
- A loss of power could cause delays for patient recovery, diagnosis treatment, and care and can cause the hospital costly delays and downtime.
- If electricity off during a medical imaging procedure, the recorded data may be lost which could affect the diagnosis and/or treatment of a patient.
- A disruption to the power supply at a hospital or clinical centers can lead to equipment malfunctions, system corruption, hardware damage, and data loss causing disruptions and delays to patients and staff.
- Further problems of an electricity off may occur during a scan when a patient needs to be injected with a radionuclide, radioactive or other tracers. If during the scan electricity is lost then these tracers cannot be re-injected for a long time. This delays diagnosis and causes problems for the patient’s health may be patient could be delayed for weeks.
From these two questions, we retch for this result:
“Clinics and hospitals require uninterruptible power systems and reliable tools to ensure that electricity will not go out. Even in the case of electrical power off for any reason, electrical power is turned on with a reliable UPS, power will still be distributed throughout the facility.”
And we always are glad to help our customers with what they need for protection.
